SUPERSTAR
VIRGO was built in 1992 and is 76,800 tonnes with
a capacity for 1960 passengers.
It
showcases the best of Classical and Mediterranean design with
its striking multi-hue marble and elegant rich wood finishing.
It was created for the modern cruise vacationer, so there's
never a dull moment on board. Together with its warm Asian
hospitality, all this adds up to a truly exciting cruise experience.
Ports of Call
Come and see why the "Pearl of the Orient", Penang
is so aptly named and you won't go away disappointed. Explore
its fascinating blend of Oriental and Western old and new
in a colourful trishaw or simply try the beaches, and treat
yourself along the way to delicious Penang food, in all colours
and flavours.
Thailand's most famous tropical island is Phuket. There is
ample opportunity to tour the island. There is no paradise
more blessed than Malaysia's famous "Islands of Legends",
which abounds not only with tales and mythology, but unspoilt
white sand beaches, coral reefs and lush tropical rainforests.
Malacca is where ancient fortresses and colonial buildings
still stand. Continue on to Port Klang for a visit to the
capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. This bustling city is an
exotic mixture of old and new cultures.
This island of myths and legends has come into its own as
a holiday destination. Discover Langkawi with
its pristine beaches, magical islands and mysterious mangroves.
Delve into the local legends about the virtuous Mahsuri, the
Seven Wells Waterfalls where fairies bathe and the Lake of
the Pregnant Maiden. Finally, visit Awana Porto Malai, the
Mediterraneanesque waterfront boardwalk where you can shop,
dine and enjoy a cultural show or two.
A special treat is a call at Redang Island or as it is known
locally, Pulau Redang. It consists of an
archipelago of over 25 islands. You can swim in crystal clear
waters or go skin diving among the hard and soft corals. Visit
quaint fishing villages and soak up the local culture where
time stops still.
Your cruise ends in Singapore, "Garden City of the East".
Experience a kaleidoscope of culture, languages, festivals
and cuisine.
Each day unveils a new sight and experience. Often flying
fish are spotted off the port bow, or a flotilla of village
fisherman's junks sail by. The Captain's dinner is a great
night and strolling topside in the evening provides an awesome
view of the stars. Tipping is not required. Friendly staff
are trained to serve you in every possible way to make your
cruise fun and memorable.
